We partnered with a Third-Party Data Provider that we've known and used for more than five years. During this time, our userbase has noted the quality of the dataset, and we personally have found them to be one of the cleanest fundamental data sources we've come across.
Because of this exceptional quality and support, we decided to collaborate together to make their data accessible on the Tiingo API.
Our Fundamental data contains over 20 years of historical data for over 14,000+ equities across 80+ indicators. Data is covered across quarterly and annual statements, as well as a separate endpoint for price-related indicators that update daily (e.g. Market Cap, Enterprise Value, P/E Ratio, P/B Ratio, etc.) On average, data is added 12-24 hours of the covered SEC filing by the company onto the SEC website for quarterly and annual data, and by the evening for daily data.
SEC filings Covered: 10-12, S-11, S-4, 10SB and A-1 (Domestic), 20-F and 20FR (ADR), 40-F and 40FR (Canadian), F-1, F-10 and F-4 (ADR and Canadian), and limited 6-K (for ADR and Canadian). 8-K is being considered as well, and more others may be added in the future.
Tiingo Fundamentals offer both Point-in-Time ("As-Reported") data that takes into account the filing date and values reported in the 10-filing by the company, and also normalized data that takes into account any amendments or restatements.
This means there is a solution for clients that need a backtestable database ("As-Reported"), and those that want a dataset that they can publish publicly with the latest company financials ("Latest-Reported").
We aim to have consistent uptime as well as some of the fastest severs possible with optimized in-memory caching, so we can deliver data quickly and consistently. Check out our independently-audited uptime here: Tiingo Uptime
