To ensure we have the fastest uptime, reliability, and consistency, our hardware stack is built on bare metal machines. This means we have 16-core behemoths powering our API with the fastest NVMe drives are the market and DDR4 RAM caches to ensure optimal speeds. Because of our unique demands, we utilize Packet.net as our webhost.
Because we have connections into the exchange data centers, we need a network that is fast and consistent in thoroughput. We ran the benchmarks and switched to Packet because we found their network thoroughput the most consistent and their data centers are only miles away from the exchange data centers. This means we are able to minimize latency and utilize 20gbps and 2gbps bonded network to ensure network redundancy and consistency.
As noted above, we employ some of the fastest RAM in the market. Because of this, we store much of our data in-memory, which means you get the fastest speed possible. We constantly monitor our servers and how data is accessed. When we notice increases in latency, we improve our caching algorithms so they are constantly adapting. This is why the first thing our users note is, "the API is fast."
